Mr. Jeff Goodman

Jeff Goodman is a Senior Lecturer in the media studies and science education programs at Appalachian State University, having been on the faculty here since 1993. Over the years, he has taught a range of media courses, including documentary film, video production, photography, and technology in teaching, as well as Introduction to Teaching and Methods of Elementary Science Teaching. Jeff's research and creative interests focus on the intersection of the arts and sciences and find form in his on-going project Human Wonder Research which explores science, human perception, the philosophy of mind, and media arts. Jeff is a former middle grades and high school science teacher, and he continues to lead workshops and give presentations on science, media arts and technology through Appalachian's Math Science Education Center, the NC GEAR UP program, the Duke Talent Identification Program and other organizations.
